In order for a process to be approved for Vegan Certification it must not contain steps involving meat, fish, fowl, animal by-products, eggs or egg products, milk or milk products, honey or honey bee products, insects or products from insects such as silk or dyes, or sugar filtered with bone char. Steps involving dairy products or honey based are also prohibited.
CPP 2002 : 2020 certification is a third-party audit performed by IVVF, upon verification and testing that an organization is in compliance with the requirements of standard, IVVF issues registration certificate. Certification is then maintained through regularly scheduled annual surveillance audits, with re-certification performed on an annual basis.
